Kerstin McConnell was born and raised in beautiful St. Thomas. She is an alumna of one of St. Thomas's finest schools, Antilles School, where she attended from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduating from Daniel Webster College in New Hampshire with a degree in aviation management, she returned to St. Thomas, where she worked for American Airlines and then Little Switzerland, a well-known jewelry retailer in the Caribbean. During this time she made countless contacts in the business community. After taking time to raise her three children, she returned to the work force with Newland Real Estate in 2003 as a sales associate. She met with immediate success in her new career, and loves putting people and property together. In 2007, Kerstin extended that success by founding Sea Glass Properties.
Kerstin is actively involved in community and professional organizations. She is the Vice President of the Parents Association for Antilles School, and is a past chairperson of the Antilles School auction. She is the Treasurer of the St. Thomas Board of Realtors, a member of the St. Thomas Historical Trust, and a member of the St. Thomas Yacht Club. With her long experience on St. Thomas, and her active participation in the community, there are few people that Kerstin doesn't know and few properties she is not familiar with. This local knowledge means Kerstin can provide insights into island life and customs, as well as the real estate market.
Kerstin and her husband Bill, a local real estate lawyer, have three children, Ali, Natalie and Maggi, all now attending Antilles. When she's not out selling property, you might catch a glimpse of Kerstin on "Girls' Day Out" her 22' Mako.
